SPUD Artist Book

An artist book, SPUD 2009 – 2019 documents a decade of the SPUD project’s events, collaborations, conversations and artworks.

The book traces the history of the project since SPUD’s initial conversations about the best way to grow potatoes in North County Clare. The potato is a subject that offers infinite trajectories- engaging conversations worldwide to interact with dialogues from the past.

This publication encompasses SPUD’s 11 projects from 2009 to 2019, with an essay by Catherine Marshall and descriptive texts on each project developed in conversation between Deirdre O’Mahony and Sinead Phelan.

Designed by Cian Brennan, the book is hardback case bound, with 56 pages, 16 in full colour. It is a limited edition of 300 and available to buy HERE

The book is included in the 2020 Dublin Art Book Fair being held online by Temple Bar Gallery.
